New York-native singer-songwriter Mikey Wax, best known for his 2014 hit single “You Lift Me Up,” released a marriage equality-inspired single entitle “Love Always Wins (#LoveWins)” back in July. The song features Prophecy.
Though it originally debuted exclusively on ryanseacrest.com back on July 13th, Mikey’s newest single has been used by E! for promoting its upcoming television series I Am Cait, which is a reality show that will center around Caitlyn Jenner.
The single is one of the first songs we’ve heard that centers around the recent gay marriage supreme court ruling. Will this start a trend of marriage equality-inspired songs?
